Grid Bot Fill Notifications on Telegram and Discord

What an Anello grid bot sends when an order fills: one message with price, size, the re-posted order and realized PnL on sells, and which alerts reach email.

When an Anello grid bot fills an order, it sends one message to Telegram or Discord. The message shows what filled, at what price, the bot’s fill number, and the order the grid placed on the other side. Sell fills also show the profit realized on that fill and the bot’s lifetime total. Email stays quiet and only carries alerts that need you to act.

A grid bot places buy orders below the price and sell orders above it, and replaces each order on the other side when it fills. In a choppy week that can mean dozens of fills. The grid bot is meant to run while you are away, so the messages need to tell you what happened at a glance.

What does a fill notification show?

Each fill produces a single message that covers both the fill and the order placed in response. Here is a sell fill on Telegram, from a HYPE grid running from $18 to $42:

🔴 Sold 10 HYPE | $420.00
Price: $42.00 | Fill #47
Re-post: buy 10.4 HYPE @ $40.38
PnL: +$15.80 this fill | +$742.10 total
Open grid

Line by line:

  • Headline. Bought or sold, the size, and the dollar value of the fill. Buys are green, sells red.
  • Price and fill number. The fill number counts this bot’s fills since launch. It is recorded when the fill is captured, so a burst of fills still gets the right number on each message.
  • Re-post. The order the grid placed on the other side, with size and price. If it has not landed yet, the line says “pending”.
  • PnL, on sells only. The realized profit on this fill and the bot’s running total.
  • Link. “Open grid” goes straight to that bot’s page in Anello.

On Discord, the same fill arrives as a card titled “Sold 10 HYPE | fill #47”, with fields for price, total, the re-posted order, realized PnL and lifetime PnL. The card’s footer names the grid, as in HYPE grid · $18 – $42, so two grids on the same asset with different ranges are easy to tell apart. The card title links to the bot.

Partial fills get their own short message (“Partially sold HYPE”) showing how much of the order has filled so far.

Why do only sells show profit?

A buy adds inventory and does not close a round trip, so there is no profit to report yet. The sell one rung higher closes it. The realized figure on a sell comes from the same per-bot ledger as the PnL in the app, net of fees, so the alert and the dashboard agree. If the profit for a fill can’t be worked out cleanly when it is captured, the message leaves the PnL line out rather than showing a guess, and the fill is counted later when the bot reconciles. How grid bot PnL is calculated explains the ledger.

What other alerts does a grid send?

Besides fills, a grid can send:

  • Bot started and bot stopped, with the error if it stopped on its own.
  • Agent wallet expiring, 30, 7 and 1 days before the agent wallet that signs the bot’s orders expires.
  • Grid needs funds, when replacement orders can’t be placed because the balance is short. It lists how many orders are missing, what is needed and what is available.
  • Re-post restored, when an order that failed earlier is placed later. It is marked in amber so it doesn’t read like a new trade.
  • Grid recovered, when a grid that needed funds is whole again.
  • Order cancelled outside Anello, if one of the grid’s orders is cancelled from another app. The repair guide covers what to do next.

DCA bots send their own messages: purchase filled (amount spent, amount received and the next purchase), purchase failed, and completed.

Which alerts go to which channel?

Telegram and Discord carry the routine stream, and email carries only what needs action:

ChannelHow it connectsWhat it carries
TelegramOne shared Anello bot, linked with one tapEvery event, fills included
DiscordAn incoming webhook in your own serverEvery event, fills included
EmailA verified addressBot stopped with an error, agent expiring, grid needs funds, DCA purchase failed, completed deposits, announcements

On the Notifications page you choose which events go to which channel. Fills and the other routine events can’t be turned on for email; that limit is set on the server. Deposit alerts are off by default on every channel.

The split is deliberate. Fills are frequent and suit a chat you can skim or mute. Action alerts are rare and belong somewhere you will see them.

How do you turn on fill notifications?

Open Notifications in Anello and connect at least one chat channel:

  1. Telegram. Choose Connect Telegram, open the link, and tap Start in the chat with the Anello bot. The link carries a one-time code that expires after 10 minutes.
  2. Discord. In your server, open Server Settings, then Integrations, then Webhooks, create a webhook for the channel you want, copy its URL and paste it into Anello. You need permission to manage webhooks in that server.
  3. Email. Enter your address and confirm the code Anello sends.

Then check the routing table on the same page. Every event except deposits starts on for Telegram and Discord, so if fills get noisy, turn off “order filled” for one channel and keep the rest.

Why the format matters

A grid is automation you trust to trade while you aren’t watching. One message per fill, with the re-posted order, the profit on sells and a link to the bot, lets you check what happened in a few seconds. None of this changes how the bot trades. The preview still shows every order’s exact price and size before launch, and those are the orders the bot places. How grid trading on Hyperliquid works covers the full setup, and how to choose a grid trading range covers the settings behind the fills.

Nothing in this article is financial advice. Grid trading carries real risk, including holding inventory at a loss when price falls below the range.

Frequently asked questions

What notifications does a grid bot send when an order fills?
An Anello grid sends one message per fill. It shows whether the bot bought or sold, the size, price and dollar value, the bot's fill number, and the order it placed on the other side of the grid. Sell fills also show the realized PnL on that fill and the bot's lifetime total.
Can I get grid bot alerts on Telegram or Discord?
Yes. Anello sends bot alerts to Telegram through one shared Anello bot that you link with a single tap, and to Discord through an incoming webhook you create in your own server. You can connect both and choose which events go to each channel.
Does Anello send grid fills by email?
No. Email only carries alerts that need action, such as a bot stopping with an error, an agent wallet nearing expiry, a grid that needs funds or a failed DCA purchase. Completed deposits and Anello announcements can also go to email. Routine fills stay on Telegram and Discord.
Why does a buy fill show no profit?
A buy adds inventory, it does not close a trade. Profit is only realized when that inventory is sold one rung higher, so only sell fills show a realized PnL line.
