Anello vs Filo: Features and Fees Compared
An honest comparison of Anello and Filo, two non-custodial spot bots on Hyperliquid: strategies, fees, custody, previews and backtesting.
We checked Filo’s public site (filo.bot) and help center on 2026-10-25. Prices and features change, so confirm the current details on Filo’s site before you decide.
Both products share a lot:
- Hyperliquid only, and spot only for bots. No leverage, no liquidation price.
- Grid and DCA bots.
- Non-custodial. Funds stay in your own Hyperliquid account.
- A trading agent that can place and cancel orders but cannot withdraw.
- A builder fee on sells, with buys free of a platform fee.
- Telegram alerts for bot activity.
The rest of this page covers where the two differ, so you can pick the one that fits how you trade.
Strategies
Filo
Filo’s main product is Smart Grid. It buys in steps as price falls. Each new buy becomes the anchor for the next one, so the grid keeps following price down instead of stopping at a lower bound. Each step sells on its own, either at a fixed target or with a trailing exit that rides the price up and sells on a pullback. A crash guard can pause new buys during sharp drops. Filo also states a “net-positive guarantee”: sells never close below cost basis plus fees.
Filo’s DCA Bot buys a base order, adds safety orders each time price drops by a set percentage, and sells the whole position at a take-profit above the average cost.
If you want trailing exits or dip-buying DCA with a take-profit, Filo offers them and Anello does not.
Anello
Anello runs one grid model: a fixed range with geometric spacing. You pick a lower price, an upper price, a number of levels and a USD size per order. Every level is the same percentage apart. The bot buys below the current price, sells above it, and replaces orders after each fill. You can extend the range, add funds or toggle compounding while it runs.
Anello’s DCA buys a fixed USD amount every N days, weeks or months. It never sells.
Anello also has a trading terminal for manual spot and perp trading, with market, limit, stop, scale and TWAP orders. Filo’s site does not describe one.
Pricing
Filo
No subscription. Filo charges a Hyperliquid builder fee on the sell side only. Its help center lists 0.03% per trade while lifetime volume is under $100k, then a lower rate. The home page says 0.025% to 0.030%, and the help center says 0.015%, so check the current tier. Filo has also announced fee discounts for holding its FILO token, up to zero fee at 10,000 FILO, marked “launching soon”.
Anello
No subscription. 0.02% on spot sell fills, nothing on buys. DCA carries no Anello fee. Perp trades on the terminal pay 0.01% per fill. Hyperliquid’s own fee applies on top. The worked math is in fees and risks.
Custody and keys
Filo
Filo says funds never leave your Hyperliquid wallet. You sign one approval for an agent and the builder fee. The agent can submit orders but cannot withdraw, and you revoke it on Hyperliquid’s API page. New users can also create a wallet inside Filo with a PIN and a recovery phrase, which helps if you have never used MetaMask.
Anello
Each grid or DCA bot gets its own agent wallet, and the terminal uses one more. Each agent can place and cancel orders only. It cannot withdraw, transfer or change settings. Hyperliquid authorizations expire after up to 180 days, and Anello warns you before that happens.
Previews and backtesting
Filo
Filo shows an economics preview of fee impact when you create a grid. Its site and help center did not mention backtesting when we checked.
Anello
Before a grid launches, Anello shows the exact price and size of every order. What the preview shows is what the bot places. For DCA, the preview shows the whole plan: the amount of each buy, when each one runs, the total, and the USDC it needs. You can also backtest a grid or DCA setup over the last 7, 30, 90 or 180 days of Hyperliquid prices, with fees. Backtests are an estimate: fills inside a candle are approximate, and past results do not predict future ones.
Notifications

Frequently asked questions
- Is Anello or Filo cheaper?
- For most users today, Anello's builder fee is lower: 0.02% on spot sell fills, nothing on buys, and no Anello fee on DCA. Filo lists 0.03% on sells below $100k of lifetime volume, a lower rate above that, and announced discounts for holding its FILO token. Hyperliquid's own trading fee applies on both.
- Can Filo or Anello withdraw my funds?
- Neither says it can. Both use a Hyperliquid agent wallet that can place and cancel orders but cannot withdraw. You can revoke the agent on Hyperliquid's API page at any time.
- Does Filo have backtesting?
- Filo's site and help center did not mention backtesting when we checked on 2026-10-25. Its grid setup shows an economics preview of fee impact. Anello can backtest a grid or DCA setup over the last 7, 30, 90 or 180 days of Hyperliquid prices, with fees.
- Can I move a Filo bot to Anello without changes?
- Not one to one. Filo's Smart Grid has no fixed upper and lower price, and its DCA bot buys on price drops and sells at a take-profit. Anello's grid uses a fixed range and its DCA buys on a schedule and never sells. You rebuild the idea, not copy the settings.
